Vetasi has carried out the highest number of Maximo implementations for water companies in the UK.
The last two UK Water companies who have gone to market for an asset management solution, South East Water and South Staffordshire Water, have both selected Maximo as their product of choice and Vetasi as their Asset Management Services Partner.
Our team has considerable experience of Enterprise Work and Asset Management within the UK Water Industry. That, combined with our unrivalled skills with IBM Maximo, makes us the leading supplier of EAM solutions into the UK Water industry.
The Vetasi Utilities Template Solutions (VUTS)
By combining the world leading EAM solution, IBM Maximo, with our in-depth understanding of the UK Water industry, we have developed a unique Asset Management solution that enables companies to maximise their return on investment, whilst minimising the risks.
The Vetasi Utilities Template Solutions (VUTS) allows water companies to deploy a Maximo Asset Management system, which addresses the service level agreements, integration, process management and reporting standards set by the regulators. VUTS is the only Maximo industry solution for utilities companies that can be used straight ‘out of the box’.
With VUTS, water companies can address the complexity of regulatory reporting, whilst improving customer service and gaining efficiencies in their engineering department – all of which will have a positive effect on their overall financial performance.
Furthermore, by using an ‘out of the box’ solution, water companies benefit from a shorter implementation time frame and reduced costs, plus the use of a proven and lower risk solution that offers the advanced functionality of a bespoke product, but at a much lower price point.
South East Water
In 2008 South East Water merged with Mid Kent Water and selected Maximo as their Enterprise Work and Asset Solution to manage the combined organisation. Vetasi, working with South East Water (SEW), successfully implemented the system for Above Ground Assets (Production) in four months, whilst the implementation for Below Ground Assets (Distribution) was completed within 12 months. Supported by Vetasi, SEW rolled out Maximo Spatial integration with their in-house GIS during 2011, which delivered extensive functionality for the management and integration of Spatial and Work Order related data on a single platform.

South Staffordshire Water
In 2009, South Staffordshire Water went out to tender for a new EAM solution. Vetasi was selected as their implementation partner using the Maximo EAM solution. The Production phase of the project was implemented within four months, with the Distribution phase launched in early 2011. The latter phase included full Spatial integration with a GIS platform, which allows the creation of Work Orders from Spatial data and enhanced management capability of Maximo core data from within the GIS.
