IBM has already withdrawn support for earlier versions of Maximo up to version 6.1. Maximo 6.2 will reach End of Support on 30 September 2013.
The End of Support (EOS) for Maximo version 7.1 has also been announced by IBM and will be effective from 30 April 2015.
After 30 September, fixes, patches and telephone support will no longer be provided by IBM for all versions of Maximo v 6.x. However, Vetasi will continue to provide application support to customers who have a Vetasi Application Support agreement.
All Maximo customers that are currently up-to-date on IBM Subscription and Support are entitled to upgrade to the latest release, v7.5. Version 7.5 includes many product enhancements and also includes a vast range of add-ons and industry solutions, such as the Maximo Scheduler, Health, Safety and Environment add on and new enhanced Industry Solutions.
