Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) experts, Vetasi, has replaced Salisbury Group’s four legacy systems with a brand new solution using IBM Maximo and workforce management software Cognito iQ work force solution.
Called APEX, the system provides a single platform that Salisbury say will lead to greater cost efficiencies, allowing for faster reporting, proactive maintenance, and support cost savings.
David Emuan, IT Project Manager at Salisbury Group, said: “To maintain our industry-leading position, we must meet our clients’ stringent SLAs and deliver proactive services to drive their satisfaction. Analytics and reporting are two key enablers of those goals, as they allow us to demonstrate the value we deliver to our clients.
“Today, we offer our customer support, compliance and engineering functions a single version of the truth for our asset management data. Because IBM Maximo gives each employee a customized view of asset management data, our people can often generate the reports they require at the touch of a button—eliminating the need for support from IT or external consultants,” he said.
“On top of that, by replacing four separate systems with a single platform, we have cut our support costs by 40 per cent.”
The new system uses IBM Maximo Asset Management, IBM Maximo Asset Management Scheduler and IBM Maximo Health, Safety and Environment Manager. The solution gives each employee a customized view of asset management data, allowing staff to generate the reports they require at the touch of a button—eliminating the need for support from IT or external consultants.
James Prior, MD at Vetasi, said: “We are delighted to have worked with Salisbury Group and our industry partners Cognito iQ to create and launch the UK’s first implementation of APEX.
Whilst bringing systems together is nothing new, the Apex integration creates a seamless solution; allowing greater operational efficiencies and user experience between the mobile engineers in the field and the back office users. It’s adaptability also allows the business to assess, review and innovate their own working practices, creating further advances in margin gains, both operational and financial”
Laurent Othacéhé, CEO Cognito iQ continued: “The APEX solution sets a new standard in technology for the FM sector, taking analytics and reporting from the field service operation to new levels. The level of integration between the Cognito iQ mobility solution and the IBM Maximo system will keep Salisbury at the leading edge of CAFM technology. With margins as competitive as they are in the FM sector, Salisbury will gain from both quick wins & long-term value with the significant reduction in operational costs this joint solution will bring”.
